THE CALGARY APHASIA CENTRE WEBSITE
The Calgary Aphasia Centre (CAC) is a non-profit program created to support and advocate for Calgarians living with aphasia. We run weekly conversation groups at multiple locations that offer clients the opportunity to develop their communication skills and build social connections in a fun, supportive environment. Groups are led by volunteers who have received Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA) training. We focus on enhancing clients’ existing skills and developing strategies that will reduce the barriers to their life participation goals. There is no cost to attend our groups.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help clients live more successfully with aphasia by building their communication skills and confidence and identifying resources that facilitate participation in meaningful every day activities.
