Calgary Aphasia Centre (CAC) programs are offered to persons with aphasia caused by a stroke or an acquired brain injury. At this time, we are unable to accept registrations from applicants who have a diagnosis of dementia or primary progressive aphasia (PPA).

To attend CAC programs, you must:

  • Have spoken conversational English before your stroke or brain injury, AND
  • Be able to toilet yourself independently or have a care provider available to assist you

Note: Before attending a CAC program, applicants must be contacted by the CAC intake coordinator.
